Chairs of the Month - March

What a March this has been, and it was nice to see all the parents at Family Reading Night! I caught up to Betsy and Marcella, March is Reading Month (MIRM) co-coordinators and had a chat with them.

How many cookies did you make for Family Reading Night?
Marcella: Over 200 cookies. I lost count!

And every single cookie was nut and dairy free?
Marcella:Yes. It allows children with allergies to fully participate.

What do you like about March is Reading Month?
Betsy: I like the fact that it is the kids who are choosing to read.

Why do you like to volunteer with MIRM literacy activities?
Betsy: I would support anything that would help Kathy Trudell do what she does for our kids.

Our thanks to Betsy, Marcella, Kathy Trudell, Mary Roderique who brought Colby the service dog, Laura Raynor, Gemini, and all our parent minute talliers for making March is Reading Month and Family Reading Night such a success!
