What is the Suggested Amount?

PTO encourages you to donate according to your budget, and we accept donations of any amount.

For reference, in 2010-2011 PTO spent over $25 per child on field trips, theater productions, and author talks.

What Does Your Child Receive?

  • Each class enjoys curriculum appropriate field trips, theater productions, and author talks

  • Every teacher receives funding for additional field trips and/or classroom supplies

  • Hundreds of family members participate in science, literacy, and community building events

  • Every family receives a school directory and bi-weekly newsletters

These activities would not be funded without your support.



How Does PTO Make it Possible?

PTO endorses the following five fundraisers:
  1. Donations
    We now accept credit card donations using Google Checkout in addition to checks.

  2. Walk-a-thon
    This community-building event gets the kids involved in fundraising for their school while promoting fitness. This is a good opportunity for grandparents, other family members, and friends to pledge to support your child's efforts to walk.

  3. SCRIP
    This is a no cost fundraiser. Bach PTO offers both a grocery and gift card scrip program.

  4. Pancake Dinner
    Held in spring, this event is perfect for those who love pancakes.

  5. Box Tops/Soup Labels labels
    This is a no cost fundraiser. Simply buy the products you normally buy, then clip the labels and send to school in your child's backpack.

Please note what is not on this list. We do not ask your child to go door-to-door hawking gift wrap or magazine subscriptions, and we do not make money from the Ice Cream Social. According to our by-laws, the Ice Cream Social is a break-even, give-back-to-the-community event. This is why your participation is so important!
